"Lucky (for some)"

“I think we consider too much the luck of the early bird and not enough the bad luck of the early worm.” Franklin D. Roosevelt

Day 54 folks! On my day 54 I was contemplating luck and I decided to try and define it:

“Luck – when perseverance and commitment meet circumstance”.

“I don’t know why, but I was thinking of the definition of luck – probably because Mrs B was talking about fate at the weekend and I just thought that it was a bad way to live – if something bad happens then just to say ‘well I was bad’ or ‘I am bad’ or ‘must have been bad in a past life and deserve it’ is a terrible way to live – like you are not in control. Bad things do happen, but we need to learn from them and try and take a positive if possible so they either do not happen again or we learn to deal with it and move on”.

I don’t usually include these types of thought on the daily post, try to keep it light, however I felt this was worth sharing and to get your thoughts on luck and fate. Personally, I like to think I have some control of my destiny, if I do the right things and put the groundwork in, more often than not, good things will happen.
