"Where is the positive?"

“When something I can’t control happens, I ask myself: Where is the hidden gift? Where is the positive in this?” – Sara Blakely

Not always easy to see a positive, but if we learn from an experience, we can at least take that as the positive.

Day 57, on my day 57, I decided to have a play with the routine:

“Trying an alternative today. Today is a recovery day in my tri training and also the weekend, so I do not study at the weekend either. So I decided not to get up at 5am and do 6am instead. Feels odd, but good, I’d forgotten how beautiful the early morning light can be when exercising. Will do this again if recovery and weekends coincide again”.

And I still do. In fact, I now treat recovery days as proper recovery days and do not do the DAS either. I feel it enables me to concentrate on the other days, make sure I get those right and also recover fully both physically and mentally.
